AGENT PROVOCATEUR: sales focus turns on Asia

CUTBACK plans announced by Agent Provocateur include slashing retail network as well as headquarters staff by nearly one third and phasing down its L’Agent diffusion line. At the same time, the brand will attempt to strengthen its presence in Asia and China. It will also reduce entry-level prices of its main collection.

The retrenchment suggests that expansionary moves made over recent years could have proved to be over-ambitious.
