ANITA: breast prostheses moulds 3D printed

GERMAN specialist producer of functional bras Anita is reported to be making significant cost savings by 3D printing the moulds it uses to produce prostheses for its mastectomy bras. Formerly, the manual process used called for two weeks work to produce the moulds, which were needed for 10 different types in 100 different sizes. Now, the 3D printing process requires only a few hours and is said to cut development costs by half.

In addition to reducing time and costs, the 3D printing process also makes it easier to ensure a better fit.
