DELTA GALIL: Vietnam investment plan detailed

ORIGINALLY announced as a footnote to the 2014 results of Delta Galil, more details have come to light of the company’s investment plans in Vietnam. According to the online edition of The Saigon Times, an investment licence was given to the Israeli company in February, allowing it to invest USD 13m on the development of an 18’000m2 site on an industrial park in Cat Trinh commune to make textile and apparel products. The plant, which is intended to produce some 1.3m pieces a year, worth an estimated USD 30m, is expected to start operating in the last quarter of 2015.

The new plant will broaden yet further the geographic spread of the company’s production facilities, reducing the risks of possible unrest in less politically stable regions.
