THROUGH its parent group Sherpa Capital, Spanish fabric knitter Dogi acquired women’s clothing business Géneros de Punto Treiss. The deal represents an investment of EUR 7m to be financed through debt and the own resources of Dogi. The acquisition reflects a strategy that will allow the knitting concern to develop into a key supplier of major fashion distributors. At the same time, it was announced that Dogi had generated a positive EBITDA of EUR 73’000 in the first quarter of its current fiscal year. That is the company’s first positive result since the first quarter of 2013.
This development suggests that Sherpa Capital’s ambitious development strategy for Dogi is indeed achievable.
