INTERVIEWED by the local newspaper La Voix du Nord, Noyon Dentelles CEO Olivier Noyon said that the company’s progress in 2014 was satisfactory. Annual turnover rose by 7 per cent to reach EUR 17.3m and sales of Leavers lace, that account for some 70 per cent of total sales, rose by around 12 to 15 per cent. This allowed the company to engage nine new employees last year, mainly for Leavers production. For 2015, Olivier Noyon said that he hoped to benefit from the lower value of the Euro to boost exports to the USA and Asia where interest in French lace remains strong.
This year, the worldwide stronger demand for luxury lingerie should continue to create sales opportunities for producers of Leavers lace.
