ROSE & THORNE: New Zealand label enters Australian market
AFTER winning a local business school’s entrepreneur challenge that brought it funding worth NZD 0.25m last year, lingerie label Rose & Thorne is now making its first shipments to Australian chain Autograph with 194 outlets. The exclusive range developed for Autograph includes bras in sizes up to 24G. The bra business was created by New Zealand entrepreneur Stefan Preston in partnership with Sue Dunmore, a former head of design for Australian innerwear giant Bendon. Its first major customer was The Warehouse, a group that operates 92 stores in New Zealand.
Its early successes suggest that the brand could, in time, develop into an international player in its field.
