YIWU H&G: hosiery and knitting equipment fair maintains its growth

THE CHINESE fair for hosiery, knitting and garment production equipment Yiwu H&G that was staged last week reported a 50 per cent rise in pre-registrations by equipment buyers. This boosted attendance to around 8’500 from China and other countries. The 150 exhibitors from 11 countries occupied an exhibition area of 9’000 m2.

The greater attendance suggests that competition from Asian manufacturers will become even keener in the future. Unless, that is, importing countries finally impose effective controls over textile goods that pose a health hazard.
