DELTA GALIL: acquisition of Schiesser finalised for EUR 68m

Announced in May this year, the acquisition by Delta Galil of the failed Schiesser underwear business has been approved by the responsible authorities and concluded with the transfer of the full purchase price of EUR 68m. The cash is to be used to pay off all creditors within the coming six weeks, allowing the business to operate free of its debt burden.

No details have been given regarding the integration of the Schiesser business into the new owner’s global operations but we have little doubt that the selected strategy will be in line with best marketing practice.
