GALLERIA INTIMA: bodywear sourcing fair launched in India

THE FIRST sourcing fair for intimate apparel production capacity to be organised in India is to be launched on August 28 and 29 in the Grand Hyatt hotel in Goa. Named Galleria Intima, the event will provide exhibition space not only for sub-contractors of intimate apparel and legwear but also to manufacturers of production supplies and services.

As we write this, a list of exhibitors is said to be coming soon on the salon’s website but has not yet been published. Consequently, it is not possible to assess the extent to which the event will be representative of the Indian industry. It is even possible that the event could be cancelled through lack of adequate support. If it does take place as scheduled, however, this trade fair could do much to establish India more firmly as a source of production capacity.
