A REPORT in a North Korean newspaper reveals that head of state Kim Jung Un visited a hosiery factory in Pyongyang and provided guidance for its management. The guidance proffered by the self-appointed business consultant included the desirability of good quality to ensure that socks do not fall down, that labels and packaging ensured that a product acquired added value, that it was good business to replace manual labour with automated processes and that it was important for stores to have goods available for sale rather than only for point of sale displays.
