ANN SUMMERS: interactive app allows virtual try-on

PARTNERING with image recognition platform Blippar British erotic lingerie chain Ann Summers offers an app that allows users to browse its current look-book with their smartphone and then to virtually try on any of the outfits featured. The app, labelled Bliptease, also allows consumers to send a photo through social networks to seek the opinion of friends or relatives before pressing a "buy" button that earns them a 10 per cent discount. Details of the app and its functions are displayed in all the 140 outlets of the chain.
